Alix Lhoumeau, born 1981, France, is a self taught musician, percussionist and composer. He’s previously collaborated with filmmakers, theatre practitioners and writers on live performance projects as well as studio pieces. His work explores the relationship between melody, discord ,and rhythm and is influenced by his diverse musical background. Major influences include the drum patterns and timbre of Moroccan traditional music, the harsh soundscapes of industrial music, dissonant music and the work of minimalist composers
In 2024, Alix Lhoumeau receives a Musicboard scholarship of 4,500 euros to support equipment and the production of an album.
