Balbina was born in Warsaw in 1983, but since she’s a 3-year-old girl, she’s living in Berlin. The singer and songwriter is observing her everyday life and her environment meticulously to feel one’s way towards emerging enigmas: searching for words and sounds, searching for an answer in the question itself. That way, sensitivity and fantasy are merging. She released three LPs and two EPs until now. On her latest album, ›Fragen über Fragen‹, which was released in springtime 2017, Balbina is bringing together an interesting journey for both, ears and eyes: although focussing her artistic craft on poetry and composition Balbina understands the transformation of her musical contents into images and videos as an integral part of her work as an artist.
For 2017, Balbina is receiving a grant in the amount of 7,000 euros to focus on her current album project.
