21 Downbeat

Exhilaration and ecstasy, or rather noise and confetti, are the principles of the inclusive band 21 Downbeat. Like satyrs, the cheerful demons in the company of Dionysus, the band members are difficult to tame, empowering themselves to overcome common social boundaries and ideas. They set poems by contemporary authors to an obstinate sound that has already been performed at Mensch Meier and the Berghain Kantine as well as festivals Pop-Kultur and Fusion. 21 Downbeat was founded in 2017 and consists of RambaZamba musicians Eva Fuchs (vocals), Moritz Höhne (e-drums and glockenspiel), Hieu Pham (vocals and theremin), Heiko Fechner (keyboard), Sebastian Urbanski (ribbon controller) and the composer and musician Leo Solter (synthesiser).

In 2021, 21 Downbeat are receiving a grant of 8,000 euros for the production and release of their debut album.
